Miniature
Gardens can consist of any type of plant material or container: small shrubs and evergreens, seedlings, or
specialty plants such as succulents or carnivores. Containers can consist of teacups, branches, rocks, wine goblets or simple
trays.
This one
hour workshop will be devoted to practical information for creating unique miniature container gardens. We will demonstrate
planting tricks when using unusual vessels as planting containers.
During the workshop, we will be offering unique containers and plants,
soils mixes and unique accessories to help you create your own personalized miniature garden at home.
Some of the types of gardens we will demonstrate are:
Bogs, Evergreens, Carnivorous, Succulent, Fern, Mosses and Tropical miniature gardens.
One or two specimen plants in a simple container can also be effective in miniature gardens.
Miniature gardens can consist of small specimen plants in attractive containers such as bonsai.
