old plaster
The following photo shows a sample of a paint technique I've been working on. The inspiration
comes from the original interior
walls at the store. My objective is to replicate rough plaster that is soiled, smoke stained, and water streaked.
My process for producing a similar effect includes twenty-three
separate steps with eight drying
times between paint and texturing
applications. It may seem like a
lot of work, but it's nothing
compared to the ninety-six years it took to produce the original finish.
